Important week!!!

This week has been somewhat monumental for the Frey family. First of all, yesterday was Tristan's big 8 month birthday... HAPPY 8 MONTHS, TRISTAN!!! Mommy and Daddy love you SO much!
I am bummed because I couldn't go near him and still can't today. Late Sunday night I began to feel alittle wierd... by Monday morning I realized I had the full blown stomach bug! It is SO gross!!! So with that being said, Tristan was kept FAR away from me. Today I went back to work but still kept my distance from everyone. I feel much better, but still not 100%. I am so thankful for Ryan taking over the parent duties completely for these two days!

Our second big thing this week was our (hopefully) FINAL homevisit!!! Based on what our social worker told us today, Tristan's adoption should be completed by the end of the month. This is so bittersweet. We are of course AMAZINGLY excited for this process to be over, yet we have appreciated everything that Social Services and Bethany C. S. has done for us. We are forever grateful for their hardwork! Eventhough this has been our hope and prayer, to hear the words from her mouth just make everything seem so real. 8 months ago I never dreamed this day would get here! I will keep you posted when we find out more :) Pray we receive the letter SOON!!!!

My happy happy boy ! Tristan is a true JOY in our lives.

And here is the belly... haha! I LOVE it! That belly is great for kisses and zerberts! Tristan loves to swim and play in the water. He was so glad he finally got to swim with his Daddy!

Adoption Update

So it is still not finalized... We knew it would be this long but we are hopeful that we will get the word soon that Tristan is officially OURS!!

Tuesday of this week, our social worker will come out for (hopefully) our last home visit. We certainly don't mind her coming over, we always just end up sitting and talking, but we are ready for the process to be over. We are hopeful that by the end of October we will have received the letter from the court stating that we are finished. Then it is time to party :) We are hoping to have a small family party in honor of Tristan. I am SO excited!

Sorry, AGAIN!

I am so sorry for taking so long to BLOG again. Since school started, things have been CRAZY to say the least!

Tristan has changed so much these past two months. He is babbling some with a little MAMA here and there. He looks at Beamer and yells out "B" but he is yet to say anything with Daddy. I can't help but laugh ;) Tomorrow Tristan will be 8 months. I say this all the time but I just CAN'T believe how fast it all goes! I am a day early, but incase it is two more months before I blog again, I dont want to miss another milestone!

Tristan at 8 months:

• still LOVES to eat- he says mmmm and grunts the whole time he eats his veggies and fruits
• sleeps 10-12 hours a night and pretty good naps
• Tristan is most likely 22 or so pounds
• he is doing the army crawl- he can get up on all fours, then he falls back to his belly to take off- he is fast!
• Tristan still lets us take him anywhere- he loves to be around people and watch everything going on
• Tristan started going to Sunday School with Mrs. Maria. He is the only one in his class :)
• He is starting to pull himself up to a standing position
• STILL SPITS UP CONSTANTLY
• has 2 bottom teeth and is cutting his first on on the top
• Last but not least, is loved more and more EVERY day!

I've Missed You!

I have missed blogging lately! We have had SUCH a BUSY summer! After we got home from PA, we whisked off to Duck, NC to enjoy a week on the beach with my parents and Jeremy. Then we were home for a week (a very busy week) and then we went to Smith Mountain Lake with Ryan's family. Both vacations were AMAZING and we have so much to share! I will be posting about those shortly. I started back to work yesterday so time is tight!

In the meantime, last Tuesday was Tristan's big 6 month birthday. SO HARD TO BELIEVE. While we were at the lake Tristan started sleeping on his belly. I love our monitor because it is a video. I can watch him sleeping on the monitor so I do not have to panic about him smothering himself!!

Today was Tristan's 6 mo. checkup. Here are a few things about our little man...

• 18 lbs
• 25 1/8 in long
• started rolling ALL over the house this weekend
• LOVES Beamer even though this love may not be reciprocated :)
• listens and watches EVERYTHING around him
• loves to eat! especially peas (the only real food he has tried....)
• sleeps from 8:30- 6:30
• enjoys being outside
• likes baths and the water
• is sitting for short spans of time on his own-has GREAT balance and strength
• is a happy, healthy, blessing to our lives!

We loves Tristan so much! God is SO good. Just six months ago we were spending countless hours in the hospital only to hold him for short spans of time. Now, Tristan is a thriving happy baby who is loved more than he will ever know.

We had the pleasure of visiting PA for the 4th of July. It was a last minute trip, but we realized that if we didn't get to PA that week, we would most likely not be able to get there before school starts for me (Aug 3rd). So, off we went on a spur of the moment road trip. This was Tristan's longest car ride to date. It took us about 7 hours or so stopping with him. We actually only stopped one time and that was for us to eat dinner and to feed Tristan. He played with his toys and slept the whole way. He is SUCH a GOOD baby!!! He is spoiling us!

We had a great time with Bob and Pat. Tristan got to meet the whole Frey clan for the first time (even though he slept pretty much the whole time!!) and he got to spend some time with his cousins he had never met. We saw Ryan's grandparents on both sides. We had GREAT food and a nice relaxing time with family. What a nice long weekend! One thing that did happen this weekend that completely tickled us to death was Tristan had his first real laughing fit. He was sitting on the edge of the pool with Bob (PapPap) and Pap Pap was kicking his feet lightly in the water. Tristan just LOVED this!

Tristan loves to play. Since he is now trying to sit on his own, and can for short periods of time, he wants to sit and play all the time! He loves the Cookie Monster that Jeremy gave him. I feel sorry for Cookie Monster's eyes. They are lucky Tristan does not have teeth yet :)
