Photo Shoot

Ryan and I have been wanting to take Tristan to get pictures done. We decided to wait and do them around 3 months. Well, today Tristan is 3 months old!
We went to Richmond yesterday to hang out, just the 3 of us, before I go back to work tomorrow. We ate lunch, Tristan had his pictures, we shopped a tiny bit and headed home for a yummy dinner from our grill.

A few things to know about Tristan at 3 months old:

• aprox 12 lbs
• loves to watch things very intently
• likes car rides
• likes to play on his activity mat with his hanging toys
• still sleeps a lot, especially during the day and not at night ;)
• loves his mobile that his Grammee got him
  
• is VERY LOVED by his parents and other family

We are so blessed to have Tristan in our lives!

Fun in the... almost sun

When Mom, Katie, Tristan and I went shopping last week, we stumbled across a pair of sunglasses for him. I have been looking for some, but these fit perfectly! I put them on him to go to the mailbox and he just chilled with them. When I got this picture, I had to share it with you. It made my day. Tristan always makes me smile, but when he smiles, it makes the room light up.

Nan and Pap Claus

This past week, Ryan's grandparents, Nan and Pap Claus (Sandy's parents) have been in town. They got to meet Tristan for the first time! I know I have said this many times before, but Tristan is a very blessed little boy to have so many people who loves him. With that, Ryan and I are very blessed as well!

Beamer

Just a quick note to mention how much I love my Boston Terrier, Beamer. He is such a good dog and I love to cuddle with him on the couch and in bed. He is pretty obedient (when other people are not around... lol) and he is truly a mans best friend. Sometimes I wish I had his life when he lays like this in the sunshine... must be nice! haha

I hate that he feels so left out these days with Tristan around. He mostly just sits back and watches us now. He has his jealous moments, but he is mostly really a great dog. I'm so glad he likes Tristan!

Walk for Life

Each year, The Farmville Area Pregnancy Crisis Center holds the Walk for Life. They raise money to use for counseling pregnant women, provide resources for them, testing, supplies and other services. This center is based on Christian principles so they council based on being Pro Life. Ryan and I felt the urgency to be there this year and to take Tristan with us. We feel that we have been blessed in a way that we can never put into words. If other people realize the miracle of adoption, then maybe they will realize that the life inside them is in fact a person, and therefore abortion should not be an option.

We walked around the perimeter of Wilks Lake and then they had a celebration with food, music and fun. They also did a balloon release, (poor environment) and each person was supposed to write on the balloon something that they wanted to be lifted up to Jesus. Needless to say, I thanked him for the gift of Tristan's life and the fact that he has trusted Ryan and I with that special gift.

Bumbo

Tristan has been very blessed to get so many cool clothes, toys, and necessities. Ryan and I are SO thankful for everyone's support and help with Tristan. Mom, Katie, Tristan and I went shopping in Midlothian the other day and one of Tristan's gift cards was burning a hole in my pocket. I have been wanting to get a Bumbo chair for him, but I was not sure if he would like it. The first few times he only lasted a few minutes. Now, he loves to sit in it and watch what is going on around him. He is too cute sitting there like a little old man!! We crack up with him while we are playing with him in his chair. What a joy this child is to our lives! We love him so much!

Easter Fun

Tristan is sitting on the couch with his first Easter Basket. Doesn't he look thrilled!!!??? LOL

I couldn't resist making Tristan his first Easter basket. To be quite honest, I had NO idea what to put in it! We did not do too much, but we got him some cute little things he could use, since he does not know about them anyways :) We put several interactive books in his basket, pacifiers, and some onesies. It is a good thing that is all we did because his grandparents along with Katie and Jeremy, spoiled him rotten! We are so thankful for them. Tristan is a super blessed little boy to have so many people who love him!

My First Easter

My First Easter :)
Ready for Church!

It is Easter Sunday! Praise God this day was the day the tomb was found empty... He Lives!!!

What a fitting day that a special Sunday like today could be Tristan's first trip to church. We were late, as usual, but we make it! Tristan made two tiny little wimpers during church and that was it. He slept the rest of the time, thankfully!!!

Uncle Jeremy, my brother, finally got to meet Tristan! He was in India working for 3 weeks and his company has had him on overload ever since... I'm so glad he finally made it down to meet his first nephew. Tristan loves him :)

Yesterday, we headed to Chesterfield to spend the day with my family at my parents house. My sister and her boyfriend flew in, my brother drove down from NJ, and my cousin Erin and her family came over as well as her parents, Randy and Dawn. We had a blast! I was so SO fearful that Tristan would be cranky after Friday night, but he was SUPER. He slept well, and he really handled being passed around from person to person. He is such a trooper! We hung out most of the day and stuck around for Easter dinner...yummy...

Fussy Fussy...

Friday night we had a first that we knew would come one day...The unconsolabe crier...

Tristan was such a good boy ALL day, and then right about dinner time, everything hit the fan! We didn't know what to do to make him happy. Usually we know why he was crying, but not this time. So, Ryan strapped him on a went walking though the yard with Beamer following right behind him. He was out instantly... Know we know!!!

Great Granddaddy

Friday night, Ryan, Tristan and I went to Richmond to my parent's house. My Granddaddy was in town visiting and we wanted him to have a chance to meet his first great grandson. We had a great time visiting, eating, and relaxing. I wish we got to see Granddaddy more often!

Just the 4 of us...

We love to go walking in our neighborhood. The weather here has been back and forth with the warmth and the rain, but when we can, we stick a walk in. Thursday we went for a long walk to the lake and then came home for dinner. The plumb tree/bush thing outside our window is beautiful right now so we posed for a family picture. Tristan was still half asleep from his nap and Beamer was not too interested!
