This and That

Tristan and I love to hang out on the deck. We like to eat lunch out there and play in the pool etc. Enjoy the pics of him being silly!

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend we had a small cookout. We just had a few of our favorite couples over for a cookout. Good food but even better company :) Enjoy the pictures!

Tristan, watermelon stained, running down the slide in the bouncy house.
Tristan and his buddy Malachi, trecking through the grass. Tristan said they were muddin. Hahaha
Tristan, Malachi and Jael... enough said :)
Someone I know LOVES watermelon! True signs of summer!!
Gangs all here!

The ending...

Another season of our lives has come to an end. I officially resigned from my teaching career this year and I am now a full time mom! Yippee! Boy have I been blessed with the desires of my heart!

It is a strange feeling. I am used to getting summers off and down time to chill and to spend with Tristan and Ryan. It is a strange feeling knowing that I will not be going back to work in the fall. Whatever I am going to be called to do, I do not feel that it is teaching as I was. Only time will tell!

So, for now, I will enjoy just being a wife and mother. Life could not be much better. :)

adoption

On facebook, I have become a fan of many adoption pages. Sometimes this gets pretty interesting beacuse there are some really insensitive people out there! However, today I stumbled upon this. I really liked it :)

~Legacy of an Adopted Child~

Once there were two women who never knew each other.

One you do not remember, the other you call Mother.

...Two different lives shaped to make you one.

One became your guiding star, the other became your sun.

The first one gave you life, and the second taught you to live it.

The first gave you a need for love. The second was there to give it.

One gave you a nationality. The other gave you a name.

One gave you a talent. The other gave you aim.

One gave you emotions. The other calmed your fears.

One saw your first sweet smile. The other dried your tears.

One sought for you a home that she could not provide.

The other prayed for a child and her hope was not denied.

And now you ask me, through your tears,

the age-old question unanswered through the years.

Heredity or environment, which are you a product of?

Neither, my darling. Neither. Just two different kinds of Love.
